Brothers, please join us for our annual Yom HaShoah Candle packing project as we prepare to send out both candles and meditations which enable Temple Beth El congregants to observe the Yom HaShoah memorial the evening of May 1st. These simple yellow candles, a sorrowful reminder of the loss of six million of our brothers and sisters, provide a solemn and beautiful way to praise their memory.
After the Candle Packing is completed and brunch is served, Talli Dippold will speak to us. Talli is the granddaughter of a holocaust survivor, Assistant Director of the Stan Greenspon Center for Peace and Social Justice, and Director of Jewish Life at Queens University of Charlotte.
The candle packing begins at 10:00 AM and is followed by a hot delicious breakfast. Your Temple Beth El Brotherhood sponsors this yearly program and underwrites 100% of the cost for the candles and accompanying materials. The packing process is quite an undertaking and couldn't be accomplished without your help.
The breakfast is FREE to Brotherhood members; $10 to non-members.
Your Donation of Chai ($18) or Double Chai ($36) is appreciated and allows us to continue our efforts in distributing the Yahrzeit candles that TBE members will receive. Click to donate
Thanks for making your Temple's Brotherhood program such a success and remember to Make time for this Mitzvah.
