While we were unable to pray together in person, Temple Beth El's clergy and staff worked with a production crew to bring High Holy Day services to life like never before. We learned quite a bit as we worked through the process to produce and deliver online services. We also learned that our current equipment for streaming is very outdated and incapable of producing a high-quality online experience.

We have determined that we need to invest in additional equipment to continue to engage members and the larger community in cost-effective ways as we adapt and evolve in response to the pandemic, and to support the members of our community who must remain socially distanced. We do not want to create a community where some can participate and some cannot. These immediate expenses total approximately $100,000, and include new cameras to allow for multiple angles of our clergy and guests during services, upgrades to our sound system, new projectors, and contractors to help with production.
