For generations, our Temple Beth El community has embraced the call to care for those in need, living out the sacred teaching to leave “the corners of our fields” for the less fortunate. Over the past three years, your generosity has helped us raise more than $30,000, making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

This year, as we witness the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, we’re responding not just to the immediate needs, but also committing to the long road of recovery. LIBERTY’s Annual Hunger Relief Project is now a Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief and Hunger Relief Fundraising Drive. Every donation will go directly to hurricane relief efforts and to support organizations addressing food insecurity both locally and regionally.

Your support will help us address the urgent needs of those impacted by the storm while also supporting our Charlotte community, which is facing rising food insecurity. As Yom Kippur approaches, our fasting reminds us of the hunger that so many experience—not just here, but across North Carolina.
