Honor Yom HaShoah with a Memorial Candle Each year, the Temple Beth El Brotherhood takes great pride in helping congregants commemorate Yom HaShoah, the international day of remembrance for the Holocaust, which begins at sundown on Wednesday, April 23. Candles will be available for pick up in the Temple Beth lobby on Sunday, March 16 - Tuesday, April 22. Temple Beth El Brotherhood underwrites 100% of the cost of this program; however, we are grateful that many congregants make donations of $18 (Chai) and more to help defray the cost of the candles. Any donations received more than our costs will be donated to the North Carolina Holocaust Foundation. This past year we donated $640.00 for classroom books and materials from this fundraiser. We hope that you and your family will join with Jews all over the world and light a Yom HaShoah candle on the evening of Wednesday, April 23, in memory of the victims of the Holocaust. Sincerely, Your Brotherhood Board
