Standing up for Judaism in the face of antisemitism | Archer Chapel

Creating allies and celebrating upstanders. Join Rabbi Judy Schindler as we explore a deeper understanding of the sources and systems of antisemitism from ancient and medieval religious teachings and texts to Nazi ideology to White Nationalism today. This New Year calls us to develop a toolbox of techniques for standing with and for the Jewish people not only inside our synagogues but in the world as we increase interfaith and multicultural understanding and ensure the safety of all. And finally, this New Year calls us to recognize and celebrate those who stand beside us and courageously speak out against hate in order to increase peace.

Yoga | David Silverman Social Hall

Join Rabbi Dusty Klass and Aly Farber for a special Yom Kippur themed yoga experience. Together we will reect on the past year, prepare for the coming year, and reconnect with our bodies and minds.

Write Now on Yom Kippur | Dale & Larry Polsky Beit Midrash

Gather together for writing and reflection, an opportunity to build a bridge during this sacred time. Using the Amherst Writers & Artists Method, Ellen Reich will guide participants in both creating and witnessing from a deep and quiet place. Two optional meditative prompts will be offered, inspired by the Holiness of the day. After each writing period we will have time to share our raw writing efforts; Sharing is completely voluntary and feedback is limited to what we liked, what moved us. Paper and pens will be provided; just bring yourself and an open mind and heart.
