Please join Rabbi Stuart Gershon D.D., for this 6-week course, the sequel to last spring’s well-received “Elements of Israel.” In this course, we will pay special attention to current events and their direct historical throughline to the past. This course will provide a foundational understanding of consequential historical moments in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Historical literacy is crucial in order to gain much-needed perspective and understanding of current realities.

David Makovsky writes, “Palestinians and Israelis have radically different historical narratives.” This course will explore these conflicting historical narratives and challenge them when the evidence says otherwise.

While this course will build on “Elements of Israel,” no prior participation is required—new students are welcome!
