
Join us for companionship, brunch and a fascinating presentation, to be delivered by David Goldfield, the Robert Lee Bailey Professor of History at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. He is the author of many works and textbooks on American and Southern history, including his most recent: The Gifted Generation: When Government Was Good—a compelling overview of the generation immediately after World War II when the federal government was instrumental in the great economic, social, and environmental progress of the era. Other books published by Dr. Goldfield include Still Fighting the Civil War, Southern Histories, Black, White and Southern, and Promised Land. Dr. Goldfield worked for US State Department in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza for the past six years.
