Rabbi Lexi Erdheim will begin our program with a discussion on Sweet Tea and Glezel Tea: Southern Jewish Foodways.

A Taste of Italy willl be our delicious deli lunch with vegetable lasagna, meat sauce, garlic knots, Caesar salad, fruit salad and cannolis.  Registration for lunch is required.  The cost for lunch is $11 for TBE members and $14 for non-members.

Dr. Tom Hanchett will join us to discuss the South in the Funny Pages.  Remember Snuffy Smith, Lil' Abner, and Pogo in the daily newspaper?  Delve into the history behind those comic strips and how they shaped both positive and negative images of the south.
