Wednesday, April 3, 2024 24 Adar II 5784

11:00 AM - 1:00 PMTemple Beth El

Join us as Dr. James Tabor presents, "New Archeology Discoveries in Jerusalem and How They Shape What We Know."  Dr. Tabor retired (2022) as a full-Professor from the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he taught Christian origins and ancient Judaism, for 33 years, serving as Chair for a decade. His MA/Ph.D. is from the University of Chicago (1981). He previously taught at the University of Notre Dame and the College of William and Mary. Tabor has combined his work on ancient texts with extensive fieldwork in archeology in Israel and Jordan. Since 2008 he has been co-director, with Shimon Gibson, of the acclaimed Mt. Zion excavation in Jerusalem. Rabbi Lexi Erdheim will be joining us for the clergy presentation, "A History of the Workmen's Circle: A Case Study in the Jewish Labor Movement." It's also deli day! There will be a classic deli lunch with corned beef and pastrami.

Registration is required. The cost for lunch is $15 for TBE members (and other regional temple members) and $18 for non-members.  Even if you are just coming for the program, please register for "Program Only" so we have a seat for you!

Register by Sunday, March 31.  Please list the names of everyone you are registering as we will have nametags.

IMPORTANT!  Please select at least one participant for the member, non-member, or program only categories below.
