The famous jazz pianist Noel Freidline will perform popular and some improvisational jazz music.  Much of it quite familiar to us from listening to the Big Band Sound and traditional jazz sound of New Orleans, Kansas City, Chicago and the Blues of the Mississippi Delta.

Noel’s extensive jazz background includes being the leader of the Noel Freidline Quintet for the last 28 years.  He has recorded 9 CDs and performed at jazz festivals as diverse as the Jacksonville (FL) Jazz Festival to the Bethlehem Musikfest to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.  Noel held down a three-year house band position at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and performed for actress Julia Roberts’ surprise 35^th birthday party.  Noel is also a UNCC music professor and created the contemporary music program at Davidson Day School.
