7:00 PM - 8:30 PMTemple Beth El
Join us on Yom HaShoah for a special gathering to remember and learn together. Since 1972, Temple Beth El has been a proud custodian of a Torah scroll that was spared from the Holocaust through the efforts of the Jewish Museum of Prague. On Yom HaShoah this year, one of the world leading sofers (scribe) will be in Charlotte to restore this Torah. Rabbi Druin, who is one of fewer than 20 people in the world qualified to perform this work, will share some remarkable stories behind these sacred scrolls and the significance of their restoration. Come together with congregants of all ages for this inspiring and meaningful program as we reflect on the past and look towards a future filled with hope and resilience. This is a powerful opportunity to bear witness to the devastation wrought by the Holocaust and to recognize the resilience of the Jewish people in the face of rising antisemitism. Don't miss out on this chance to be part of history.
