MeckMIN promotes interfaith collaboration to foster understanding, compassion, and justice. They envision a community that lives by the highest values and core virtues of its rich faith traditions and respects the dignity of every person.
Open Tables is an ongoing program sponsored by MeckMIN, Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s Metropolitan Interfaith Network, and hosted by various faith communities throughout the area. It creates space for diverse congregational members to build meaningful relationships with one another through fellowship and food.
“Finding Joy and Love in Darkness”: Join us for a vegetarian potluck dinner and interfaith discussion. Through several rounds of guided discussions, everyone will share and explore how their unique spiritual practices support and comfort them through difficult times.
Keeping the conversations going: Bring your calendar! We invite participants to schedule a coffee meeting with someone they meet at this event. We’ll even have gift card giveaways for the first few guests who schedule their “date”!
Participating organizations include: The Jewish Community Relations Council, Temple Beth El, Temple Israel, MeckMIN, Muslim Center of Charlotte, Sardis Baptist Church, and Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom
Only 15 seats allotted per faith community.
