The Many Meanings of Israel with Rabbi Judy Schindler, Rabbi Emerita of Temple Beth El and Laurel Grauer, Director of Community Relations and Israel Affairs for the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte

The term "Israel" has many meanings. It can reflect the people of Israel from Biblical times until today - wherever they have lived around the globe. The name "Israel" can identify the ancient holy land for which Diaspora Jews throughout the millennia have longed or it can encompass the modern Jewish State.  Likewise the word "Zionism" has multiple meanings from Political Zionism to Religious Zionism to Reform Zionism. Join Rabbi Judy Schindler and Laurel Grauer, Director of Community Relations and Israel Affairs for the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte as we explore the meaning of the people, land, and dream of Israel, 70 years after the founding of the modern-state.
