This class is designed for those who never learned to read Hebrew, or need a refresher.  It will focus on the basic “decoding” skills needed to accurately sound out Hebrew texts, while also providing students with a limited working vocabulary of frequently used words in both the siddur (prayer book) and in modern Hebrew. The primary purpose of the class is to help adults acquire or reclaim the fundamental building blocks of Jewish literacy, to enable a fuller, deeper and more meaningful engagement with Jewish texts and participation in communal Jewish life.

Tuition is $50 for members, $75 for non-members.
