MLK Parade Kickoff Interfaith Prayer Service: 9:30am, First United Methodist Church. 

MLK Parade: Uptown Charlotte: 10:00am. 

Join Temple Beth El, along with congregants from Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and Grier Heights Presbyterian to build bridges and march together in the MLK Parade. There are two ways to participate: you may walk alongside your fellow congregants or ride on the float!

Please note: We will not be offering a bus from Shalom Park to Uptown this year. 

PARKING INFORMATION:

Those coming for the service or parade can park in the parking deck on 9th Street between Church and Tryon. 

Directions from Church Street: turn left on 9th. Parking deck says “525 N. TRYON Bldg and First UMC.”  If barricaded, tell officer you need to park for First Methodist.  They will let you through. 

N. TRYON St. Likely will be closed off by 9, so you need to come in via Church St. Take Sanctuary Elevator (the one that says Sanctuary!) to street level.  The church will be right there.  Bring parking tickets to be validated - must validate before the parade.
