Brotherhood Candle Packing Brunch

Sunday, March 18, 2018 • 2 Nisan 5778

10:00 AM - 12:00 PMTemple Beth El

Brothers, please join us for our Annual Yom HaShoah Candle Packing Project as we prepare candles and meditations which help Temple Beth El congregants observe Yom HaShoah on April 11. These simple yellow candles, a sorrowful reminder of the loss of six million of our brothers and sisters, provide a solemn and beautiful way to praise their memory.

We are very fortunate to have Mitch Rifkin as our speaker. Mitch is the Chairman of the NC Council on the Holocaust, which educates teachers across North Carolina, and is a first responder on Holocaust education and diversity incidents throughout the state. The Council is also a liaison to Holocaust survivors and liberators for dozens of speaking engagements.

The candle packing begins at 10:00 am and is followed by a hot, delicious breakfast. Brotherhood sponsors this yearly program and underwrites 100% of the cost for the candles and accompanying materials. Please click here to help defray our candle cost. Donations over and above our cost will be donated to the North Carolina Council on the Holocaust.

Use this link to RSVP by Wednesday March 14.
