4th Annual JCRI Welcoming the Stranger to the (Virtual) Table

The Jewish Community Refugee Initiative invites you to hear local and national speakers address Afghan Evacuation and Resettlement: Refugees, SIV, and Humanitarian Parole. The feature panel includes Rebecca Kirzner, Senior Director of Grassroots Campaigns for HIAS, Marsha Hirsch, Executive Director of Carolina Refugee Resettlement Agency, Salima A, who was resettled in Charlotte in 2018 under Afghan SIV Program, Rabbi Asher Knight, Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth El, and Moira Quinn, moderator. Proceeds from this year's program, with a dollar for dollar match up to $15,000, will benefit Carolina Refugee Resettlement Agency's Afghan Emergency Fund.

Free but must register to obtain the Zoom link. Registration is limited to the first 100 participants, one email per household.

  • Mail a check to Temple Beth El (JCRI's fiduciary agent) with "JCRI" in the memo line.
